Our Team
Aurora McKinney
Aurora is the co-founder and co-owner of A&J Laboratory Consultants; the “On-Site Lab consultants”. She has over 20 years of experience in the Laboratory with over 10 of those years in laboratory management. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Science in Medical Technology.
Aurora has spent her career managing reference laboratories and physician office laboratories. Aurora’s laboratory background covers many areas throughout the laboratory that include the following:
Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Special Coagulation, Microbiology, Phlebotomy, and Customer service.
She has assisted physician offices and reference laboratories in their laboratory setup, validation of equipment, writing and revision of policy and procedure manuals. She provides ongoing consulting services throughout the U.S.. She is well versed in CLIA, COLA, and CAP compliance. With her proven methods for on-site evaluations and setup it takes the worry out of the staff for overall compliance.
Julie Jackson
Julie is the co-founder and co-owner of A&J Laboratory Consultants; the “On-Site Lab consultants”. She has over 29 years of experience in the Laboratory with over 20 of those years in laboratory instrument management. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology.
Julie has spent her career working in various departments throughout reference laboratories. Julie’s laboratory background covers many areas throughout the laboratory that include the following:
Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, and Electrophoresis.
As a technical consultant Julie has vast experience in instrument validations, instrument startup, maintenance, Quality control analysis, instrument calibrations, instrument troubleshooting, and staff training.
